yes, but that frame can have features right?  like 250r geometry?

Yes you would have to change the geometry of the frame, my frame is about 30lbs. lighter than a stock frame and it handles no different than a stock frame does.

I would change the frame and suspension/frame to handle like the 400ex. I would also make the motor come stock with power valves.

Hell yeah! :headbang: Also throw a round-house carrier swingarm on there, and a different air-box/filter setup from the factory.

I'd also like the power valves and fuel injection. Bring the 2 stroke technology up to date so it could pass emission laws

Yeah if it was just one thing...tweak the motor just enough to keep buildin' 'em.

Of course if it was a wish list, like everyone else said; completely redisigned airbox/filter setup, round housing swingarm, front suspension geometry (hell the YFZ is close enough heh), aluminum frame would be sick, and since we're throwin' in PV's and EFI, an updated electrical system...

Just one thing? Hands down a light weight high strength aluminum frame.

Must you polish everyting Brad? :jesterlaugh:

Chalk up another vote for a frame designed around better front suspension geometry.

Well ummm, I thought hey, if we do a different geometry frame, lets do it out of aluminum. It's lighter and stronger and yea you can polish it, never thought about polishing it though. :jesterlaugh:

Ok you caught me. <_<

suspension, hands down. I have learned to ride the banshee with the frame it has now, if I could only get it to take up some of the hits better, I would be in heaven.

yamaha needs to take the yfz jigs.....open them up a little bit in the engine compartment....and start selling them with shee engines in them. It wouldnt cost a lot of money......and they'd sell like hotcakes.

just one thing...pick one from the list

A front end geometry that works

A frame made out of good steel

a real chain adjustment system

48" wide

shocks that absorb shock

an engine that wasnt designed 30 years ago

a real air box setup

real tires

twist throttle

thats good for now..
