im gonna say that if its over heating there is prolly a problem somewhere. You should be able to ride for a long time without overheating. Now, that doesnt mean leave it sit idle for 25mins on a hot day. The banshee does not have a fan so you have to keep it moving to keep air flowing. I have rode from one place to the next that was 10 miles away, through the woods in NC, in the middle of summer without overheating

WELCOME!

i ride mine in the dunes, in OK. usually its windier than hell here, so i park on top of a dune and let it idle with the wind blowin throught the rad everychance i get. it gives my thumb and motor a break.

My friends Banshee used to overheat when we were in tight trails in the woods. All we did was put in Engine Ice and it cured the problem.

another Engine Ice user here. Solved my problem as well..I think my jetting is near perfect...but was getting "spitup" when moving slow. switched to ICE and never had it again!

As far as what I think your asking....how long should you ride before you give the motor a chance to cool off?.....That depends on how and where you are riding! Canadia shouldn't ever get TOO hot for a banshee that is tuned right. RIDE THAT SHIT! :headbang:

I had a problem with mine overheating occaisonaly-sometimes it seemed fine and other times it would slighlty overheat. Found it to be the driven plastic gear on the water pump impeller. I replaced the gear & installed a high-volume impeller.

No problems since!!! :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

First of all, welcome to the HQ. Havent had any problems with overheating... Depends on where you are riding, The only problem I can think of besides letting it sit there idling is if you are going through a lot of mud, going slow and not letting it get a lot of airflow. Dont know what trails you ride.

Werd'! I used engine ice, have a pro design impellar, and I just ordered a cascade oversized radiator. I dont think I will be able to overheat if wanted too! :D

good to see another person on this site with LRD's.

What's your jetting at? airbox lid on or off? filter? other engine work?
