Killdmycobra Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 Just wondering if they have websites. Also, whiich CPI's are the best?? I dont want to cut my fenders. I will be running stock pistons and port with reeds, trinity K&N intake, NOSS head with 21cc domes for now, and dynatek CDI to bump up the timing. Also, can anyone compare T-5's, CPI's and Shearer??? sp1tekiller Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 Wow, check out that TRX90 on Shearers site. Under custom pipes. It looks like a 250r motor in there. Quote
Killdmycobra Posted April 7, 2005 Author Report Posted April 7, 2005 http://www.cpiracing.com/http://www.shearerpipes.com/ . I dont think cpi makes an inframe pipe that will fit without trimming your front fenders, you also have to grind off two tabs from your frame where the stock pipes mounted. 351068 I was told that the inframes would fit without trimming. Do you know that i have to cut the fenders for a fact?? Jeff Quote
1800bigk Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 I had to cut mine and Im pretty sure there was someone else on here who got some recently, i think his name is 05bansh and I think he had to trim his too. Its no big deal, I just ended up cutting my whole front fender off. read this post. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...topic=38108&hl= Quote
locogato11283 Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 another similar pipes is : ROCKETS 351122 rockets? what are those? are they some sort of new drag pipe? i am very interested in them. i guess id have to see some dyno sheets since im a skeptic. do they make as much power as cpi?? noob41 Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 rockets pipes are probably the best pipe for engines making less than 90hp. Quote
richybanshee Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 (edited) CPI's are a good pipe for a stock shee, not great or excellent, there are better pipes out there for stock porting configuration. For example: FMF SST Toomey TR6 ProCircuit This pipes will extract the most HP out of the mods and stock configuration you have right now. SST's and TR6's may not extract as much power on ported motors, since they were design for stock port configuration. In this knid of situation CPI's, Rocket's and Shearer seem to shine like no others. If you get the CPI's you will need to trim a little the front fenders, not too much, that is it. I have them on my stock shee. If you do not plan on porting it then go with other brands like Toomey, FMF or Procircuit. Edited April 7, 2005 by richybanshee Quote
wesw Posted April 10, 2005 Report Posted April 10, 2005 Best thing to do would be, ask the person who ports your engine what pipes to get. Different engines work differently and may work better with cpi's Im learning this the hard way. talk to the guy the builds your motor they will steer you in the right way. Quote
