Pro's & Con's to alcohol carbs.

I've been thinking of getting some alcohol carbs just cause of fuel price can ahyone help or point me in the right dirction? i'm running 14 mm domes in my coolhead and need to run 115 octain race fuel like it sets and I can get methonol by the drum for little of nothin wondering if of how much I would need to do or would this be more work and money than its worth?

You have to purge the alcohol out everytime you store your bike, like for the night. You use twice as much fuel. Although you are getting it cheaper. The exhaust smells good but burns your buddy's eyes. And the other drawback is that you get a 10 - 15% increase in power.

sounds like something id want to happen..not!! i cant imagine having to purge it everytime i ride. fuck that shit.

it will rust overnight.i ve blown motors, took them apart the next day and surface rust was starting on the sleeves and crank.alcohol is a dry fuel,that means it has no lubricating qualities.after i race i purge it with a super squishy 20 to 1 mix, till my plugs foul.

Even better question is why the hell are you running 14cc domes? Your motor probably doesn't like to rev past 7k rpms. Not only are you wasting your money on 115 octane race gas, your wasting performance. Drop your compression down to the 170-180 range and start buying 100 octane gas.
