Okay, before getting the expected flame for this, I say that this is only an investment in a repo of an '01 Raptor that will be sold when ready to ride.

Very likely to get it for a song!

Expected profit will be used to get my wife a easy to ride quad for trails.

So 2 things. It's missing the exhaust and shocks. Anything I may need to look out for on this model?

Any suggestions for the quad for my wife? She doesn't want one where she has to use the manual clutch.

My wife has an 03' honda recon ES. It's a 250 with electric shifting. Just push a handlebar toggle button to up or down shift. Electric start, w/ reverse. They are very smooth, quite, low maint, go anywhere, stable little quad.

My wifes learned how to use a manual clutch faster than I expected. If she has electric start and reverse the manual clutch will only be difficult for a short while. For an auto, maybe a polaris, I think the model I'm thinking of is called a 250 trail boss.

Thanks for the info guys.

Got her a 220 Kawasaki Bayou which doesn't have the manual clutch.

She loves it as it's easy to ride and I can use it for work around the place.

I got the Raptor and will be fixing it to sell soon.

Get her a 250 trailblazer, they are good machines, I got one for gf she loves it.  Its got plenty of power for her.  Its more of a sport quad than the trailboss.  Just me 2 cents.

That Trailblazer 250 lacks big in the power dept.My buddy got one for his kid,and they went riding in the sand and the lack of power in the sand made it unfun to ride.I would take a look at the Scramble 500,very peppy, sporty auto, the only bitch I hear about them it that they're heavy.
