pro design intake manifold w/boost bottle

any comments anyone? i've been thinking about getting this for a long time. is it worth it, and will it require any other mods to compensate for it other than maybe jetting? and what about the spacers, do they do much good?

I have the intake with boost bottle,but never used spacers.I don't think i changed my jetting any when i put mine on.From what i've read on here and other places,the spacers really just help move your carbs back so they don't hit the clutch arm.I liked the intakes,but the boost bottle seemed like it was in your way when you were trying to do stuff.Thats why i'm selling it and getting the one with a built in cross-over.

I have a Pro Design intake w/ boost bottle and I run reed spacers w/no problems. I don't think the spacers help much other then raise bigger carbs up from clutch arm - I put the spacers back in because I had them.

I do not think the intake is going to give you more power ... but who knows.

The boostbottle is not going to give you more power either.

Why not try to advance the timming and add compression?

This will give you more low and midrange power for almost the same $$$ you will spend on an intake system.

i do believe the boost bottle does help it gives a chance for the fuel and air to mix and then come back down with other fuel so the design theory is acceptable does it produce in useable or noticeable hp or tq i cant answer that based on dyno terms will when i upgrade from stock carbs i will know. I bought this kit it didn't have spacers, although the boost bottle, rubber grommets, both intake manifolds and gaskets did come in it this kit with out the proper boots on the intakes will not fit a stock carb size. needless to say without spending a shit ton of money on carbs i dont need stock bore +1 making it 375cc with 20cc domes and modquad head,

 

Will make a new topic when i have proof that the BOOST BOTTLES actually do something ie dyno proof stock vs pro design i dont think that they went thru the r&d to cut and bend aluminum to the right sizes and all that if it did nothing.
