Thanx for any input Quote
Otis Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 if nothing else you could dial in your jetting with a dyno run.....80 bucks isnt bad, they're charging 100 bucks here... Quote
locogato11283 Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 its worth it if you wanna see how much power you are making. might as well tune it some and get it running better. heres its about 100 bucks an hour to tune. theyll cut you a break if you are there for a while. most places ive gone to if you wanna rent for a whole day its about 400 bucks. Bansheeman1121 Posted February 24, 2005 Author Report Posted February 24, 2005 im just interested in how much horse shes makin but i dont no if it would be anything impressive with my mods, jetting is defiantly another plus i can never seem to dial it in Quote
MonkeyBoy Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 Should be around 50-53 depending. That's about what I made before porting. Dyno jetting IMHO is always too rich for the real world. The dyno is a load that you quad never sees in real life. I have always had to jet back down after dyno runs. But if you want to spend the money, do so. I did it, just to do it, and I don't regret it. It was just to get the chart. Besides, I got the guys at Trinity to say that my bike ran damn well for not being ported. Quote
Ducman Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 One bit of advice, don't bother doing a dyno run just trying to get some good #'s unless the shop has dyno tires for you to run (slicks that are very solid) or you will get lower #'s and the dyno drum will eat your knobs for breakfast. My experience using the dyno sniffer for A/F ratio to determine if any jetting changes were necessary was that the sniffer A/F reading was right on the money and accurate for jetting changes both on the dyno and regular riding. My local dyno (not at a dealership) charges $50 for a #'s only session and $75 for a dyno tune and #'s session. If they are doing more bikes than just yours then they don't charge any more for additional runs that day to check A/F after jetting changes. Quote
Bansheeman1121 Posted February 25, 2005 Author Report Posted February 25, 2005 Ill be pretty pissed if it makes anything below 60, i could of put equal amout of cash into a raptor and got it to at least that Quote
