superbanshee03 Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 I have just had my bike upgraded with new wiseco pistions, port work, lightned flywheel, and reeds, my stock clutch is slipping in the upper gears and I was wanting to replace it. I have heard that tusk makes a good clutch but wanted some different opinions on what I should get. Also do you think I would benefit form some 34mm carbs, I have read some post that recemend 33's or 35's but why not 34's am I missing something? Quote
FORMULASPEED Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 Tusk clutch there $40 arent they if your low on funds then go for it. If you got dough get a dirt digger or somethin along those lines. Quote

locogato11283 Posted February 23, 2005 Report Posted February 23, 2005 rmatv sells the tusk clutches. my bro has had one in his yfz450 for a while now and no problems so far. i think a tusk should be fine. as for your carbs the 34pj are fine. Quote
23champ Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Kehin carbs: 33mm and 35mm are both Kehin's newer style carb (PWK) thats why there is more talk about them. 34mm is Kehin's older style carb (PJ). Don't be afraid to get a PJ, they are still good carbs. Honda used them from the 1980's all the way up till 1997 on the CR 250's ,125's, and 500's (01') Quote
THEREALBUDLIGHTBANSHEE Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 I'VE GOT TUSK CLUTCHES & EBC SPRINGS AND THEY WORK FINE IN MINE. HAD THEM IN NOW FOR ALMOST A YEAR! Quote

rocketboy Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 tusk clutches kick ass i run one on my she and its much improved over stock ,the plates are perforated and fibers are much beefier than stock, well worth the money ,get ebc springs for like 6$ too and run 3 stock 3 ebc and youll be rippin ,its about the best deal from rmatv you can get ,i love mine.as far as the carb dilemma ,id be looking at the 33 pwk they are d slides pj are not dslide carbs .the d slide design offers the best all around reponse on modified motors from what ive heard.
