SOS is simply steel wool with soap "built in" works fine and will not scratch chrome, scotchbrite pads will scratch chrome. Personally I use #00 steel wool and glass cleaner. Quote

Like DUNEDEMON said, he was only trying to help I use a paint cleaner for tough "stains" on my pipes...Meguiars makes it for car paint and it's worked for me so far.... Quote

Calm down man, Sos pads are made out of 00 steel wool and they will not scratch the pipes...Good call on the sos and Dundemon good call on the glass cleaner!!! That really pisses me off.
