dawgfan Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 This week all my parts should finally be in. I've had my pipes in my livingroon floor for about 2 weeks now just iching to to slap them on. But I decided to wait till I got everything so I only have to rejet once. New parts include T-5's and silencers, TDR reeds and cages, Pro-Flow air filter set up w/o the lid, 4 degree timing key, .030 milled head, 13T front sprocket, jet kit, and lightened flywheel(still in the works). Honestly, how much of a difference should I really expect? I've only ridden stock so far as this is my first Shee, and don't want to expect to much and end up dissappointed in her. And the shit talkin to all my 4 stroke ridin buddies has already begun (just couldn't wait)!! I got a modded Predator, a Rapter, and a stock 450R callin me out! Come on guys, boost me up!!! Quote
RNBRAD Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 Well it's hard to put it into words but it will rip totally guarantee'd, especially if your going from stock pipes to aftermarket pipes. Loose the 13t front sprocket though. 14 minimum unless you lug it around in trails. I'd still slap on a 15t and spank those other quads. Quote
holeshotkid Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 (edited) I was going to suggest the same. Stay with at least the 14t or you will be undergeared. As far as your new mods go, you might feel a little bit of difference... Until you let out on the clutch, then you'd better hold on.. Edited February 8, 2005 by holeshotkid Quote
ssanddemon Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 2 words: RACE GAS! You'll actually feel the difference with the head shaved. Either way it'll feel like 2wice the power than before, you're gonna have a serious grin! Quote

Either way it'll feel like 2wice the power than before, you're gonna have a serious grin! 319359[/snapback] The reason for the 13T front is because I run 22 inch Dirt Devils. Do you still think the 13T is to low? I just wanted a little more bottom, but not at the expense of my top end and bragging rights! Are you saying I should run race gas all the time or just to have more fun? The only race gas near me is either 109 or 111 octane, to high???? Quote
fixitrod Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 Run race gas only if you bump the compression up. You will gain a lot of usable pwr with compression. I think that's what was trying to be said. As far as gearing, you will have more pwr to pull that 14 with the 22" tires. I think you'll like it. It's like a 15 with 20" tires. It just pulls and pulls. Id start with the 14 and if you think you need to go down do it after you try it. Quote
bansheeryder21 Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 Your bike is going to haul ass now! Even if you were to just put pipes on it, it would still rip. But since you are going to do all that other stuff as well, your bike is going to be hella fast!!! Don't use race gas unless you up the compression like fixitrod said! If you were riding in sand then I would say use the 13, but for dirt, stay with the 14! Post some pics man! Good luck! Quote
locogato11283 Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 it will for sure be a whole different bike now. leave the 14 on for now and then if you feel its too high then go to 13.. Quote

As far as the race gas, is milling my head .030 going to give me that much more compression? Would it not be safe to run 93 for just kickin around or race fuel ONLY from now on? Should I worry about my original rings and pistons holding up with the upped compression? Quote
fixitrod Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 You should be fine with 93 pump gas!!! Quote
. Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 try the 13T, see how you like it. I havent run one yet when running my 22" tires, but my buddy needed a front sprocket and I had a 13T, he's got 22"s and he says he loves it. He's got Ported stock cages, air filter, and T5's. Try it and see how you like it. Quote
