Hey guys, lets throw the Shearers in the mix. Top 3 pipes, head to head, I'd like to know. Thanks for even doing the dynoing. I know it costs you money. Thanks again.

we are hoping to get some shearers to try out sometime soon. i would like to see the difference as well. if you wanna donate some money for dyno time be my guest :D its no big deal really. i like fuckin with stuff and seeing what makes the most power..

and on the topic of this dyno being unreliabe in its numbers i just wanna add that i had the same bike dynoed on a dynojet machine and the numbers were within 1hp. so whats your explanation for that one firehead? the dynojet is junk too? i think you are full of shit.

i say run the rockets against the GRR pipes, i dynoed the GRR pipes against the CPI's on my bike and pulled 7HP more than the CPI's i ran the shearers too and they didnt pull on my bike as hard as the CPI's did but i didnt dyno them to see what they would do

well i dont see the clark bros buying a set of grr pipes also, plus the cost of dyno cost so it was just a thought

damn id like to try them too. im not gonna buy a set but if someone ever wants to let me test some i will. i dont blame someone for not wantin to send thier pipes off tho. i wish someone had access to all these pipes and could dyno them all at the same time. that would surely tell it all. hopefully ill get ahold of some shearers sometime to test. does grr make inframe drag pipes?

GRR out of frames are VERY VERY similar to Rocket out of frames

(if anyone here know why, I'm sure you're smiling now)

bad dyno? either way, it was the same dyno for both pipes

 

CPI are good pipes too, I do not even knock them, and I'm sure that one may outshine the other on certain types of builders work, and vice versa. I just know that I bought an early prototype of Rockets, and I love them so much, I'm a dealer now.

Loco, which pipes did you test first? How long did you warm the engine up before making the dyno runs? How many runs did you make with each pipe?

no jetting changes. my main reason for this was because jim at passion said when they tested there was very little difference between the jetting, so i didnt bother with it.

jinx, we tested the cpis first. we made 3 runs with each pipe and they would come out to within .1 or .2 hp each time so i feel it was pretty accurate. the first timer was not too warm, then warmer and hot. i found that my engine runs better when its loose. it showed that with each pipe. id love to get the shearers in the mix, i just dont have a set...
