Holyman Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 It comes out thru the top of the frame and you have to make sure everything is loose and wiggle it and squeeze it til it comes out. Then sell it and put on a 2:1 filter Quote
Tim C Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 Take the 2 bolts out of the back of the air box then push it forward and lift up on the front of the box until it clears them pins. Quote
2002bansheeperth Posted January 9, 2005 Author Report Posted January 9, 2005 i got a uni filter inside the airbox Quote
05bansh Posted January 9, 2005 Report Posted January 9, 2005 If you dont plan on using it (if you are going to pod filters) just cut it out. Its way easier and faster. Quote

banshee tuner Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 If you think it's a pain in the ass to get out, try putting it back in. Junk that thing and go to open filters.(a lot more air flow) Quote

KRMit Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Don't junk the box unless you are on the dunes all the time. You have to remove your rear plastic to get it in and out. Remove rear plastic, take out 2 bolts, loosen clamps on carbs, push the airbox towards the carbs compressing the rubber boots, lift the rear of the airbox up and over the mounts, pull it straight out the top. It took me a while to figure it out too. Quote
2002bansheeperth Posted January 10, 2005 Author Report Posted January 10, 2005 thanks guys i got it out...is it harder to put back in??? Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 thanks guys i got it out...is it harder to put back in??? 304706[/snapback] It's easier if you cut the tabs off of the airbox that were caught on the pins you were talking about. Quote
jeenyus Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 yeah its harder to put it back!! i hate doin that job Quote
limitied03 Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 man ya'll make it sound like a big pain in the ass i can have the airbox in and out in no time flat....its a breeze Quote
