banshee76179 Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 My buddy thought his crank was welded ...come to find out it wasn't...he had 170lbs per cylinder... the crank never seperated... I'm not for sure on the maximum but, I would get the crank welded....just me though.. Hope this helps out a little... Quote

1redram Posted January 7, 2005 Author Report Posted January 7, 2005 Ran 165psi for 5 years w/ no problems, doesn't mean you won't though.. 302931[/snapback] Well i am being told that with my porting I need to have atleast 175 psi. I am only at 155psi right know with 18 cc. domes. I just did not know how far I could go. Thanks for the replys, Nathan Quote
dlnoss Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 I wouldn't be too worried unless it was much over 180 - 185 How you ride also makes a difference. If you're dropping the clutch with tons of traction and the engine wound up tight..... Quote
sweetshee4312 Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 my buddies cranks seperated with like 165, id say get it welded if u got it apart man, not worth gambling with it Quote
Ducman Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 ported and small domes... I'd get welded. Quote
banshee tuner Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Over 150 pounds is not recomended without welding the crank. Some people have seperated cranks with stock compression. Quote
icemanscold Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 As of now mine runs about 185 psi. If you got porting I would definately recommend having it welded and balanced. Just added insurance that you shit wont let loose. Quote
