If you have Duncan do a woods/mx port, have them send you Paul Turner Midrange pipes back with your cylinders. They have an extremely smooth and hard low to mid range kick and are very very powerful.

I've never owned a 2-1 pipe so I'm just shooting theory. The Banshee's biggest advantages are acceleration and overall speed. Going with a 2-1 pipe may give you more bottom but it will take away from the straightaways. I would say get midrange pipes and go with a single carb. The single carb will give you more control over the power with some more bottomend to boot.

I like my 916's they are considered a mid range pipe great power and I haven't ridden with a faster accelerating quad but I admit I've only ridden with Raptors, Blasters, 400EX's and Polaris's so I can't compare to another shee. But it's like a rocket compared to stock.

I guess the theory behind the 2 into 1 is similar to adding an H or X pipe to a 5.0 Mustang. Torque gets you there and Horsepower keeps you there.

It all boils down to what type of riding you are doing damn near all the time, I do woods/country riding, so I just love how easy the dynoport 2into1 powerband is. it made the shee waaaayyyyy easier to control in the woods, madee it easier to start too, for some unknown reason, just my 2 cents

reed spacers really do nothing unless clearence for larger carbs, when i had my dynoport 2-1 that thing screamed from the bottom, and the powerband was easy to control, now im runnin pc's to and i love them, but there not a low end pipe

You can run them if you want. The spacers will make your powerband come in harder. W/o them, your power will be smoother. I left mine out. No gains on the dyno.

so the 2 into 1 pipe makes the powerband smoother and the shee easier to control? i may have to look into one.

also, ive been thinking about getting the DMC 916s. ive never even heard of them but at the track about 6 months ago i saw aguy with them and they sounded sweeeeet.

Logan the 2 into 1 makes the powerband hit almost non-existant.

great for tight woods riding. What you lose on the top in speed and such you can makeup for easily with just going up to a 15t front. I run the 2-1 pipe and carb I can run circles around a co-workers neighbor running T-5s. its almost like he's riding a blaster ;). Now with my -2 swinger I can't wait to get back in the woods.

Edit* Man I've had it with the closest yamaha shop, calling me stupid for running the 2-1carb first, now calling me completely ignorant for running a 2-1 pipe. And last I'm gonna kill myself running the -2 swinger ;).

Can't wait till I getmy suspension done. If its done by the time of the fair I think I"m gonna run it against that fuck.

ive got the same setup, and people are always asking me how i ride the damn thing, they have a banshee thats practically stock, and they swear 2 carbs and pipes(stock) is the only way to go :yank:
