01bansheefox Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Pulled off the pipes and there was oil inside the pipe and some in the exhaust port. It was blackish like gear oil is after its old. Or is that just permix? But it was like pure oil no fuel in it. Quote
01bansheefox Posted December 2, 2004 Author Report Posted December 2, 2004 Just pulled off the right pipe and like a good 1/2 oz. poured out. Quote
Leadfoot350 Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 This happened to me. The right crank seal went bad and sucked in all the tranny fluid and shot it out the exhaust. Smell the oil and you can tell if its 2-stroke or gear oil. If you can not do a leak down test or take off the clutch cover and look at that seal. Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 sounds like the right crank seal. Quote
banshee04le Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 Yep. Case splittin' time. Happened to me too. Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 happens quite a bit, time for a new seal set Quote
blk02banshee Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 I think it can happen if the middle case gasket leaks, too, but either way, gotta split the cases. Quote
