they still haven't invented a good fast 4-stroke yet.with a good maintaince schedule you should get more than 60 hours. check all your electial connections, make sure you have a good ground. is all the stock electrical still intact.

OK, got it movin, motor runs great, except its bailing white smoke out of right pipe, and the clutch is almost completely gone, cant find neutral and its really hard to shift into any gear. so the clutch is gone, but whats with all the smoke? its white with a slightly burnt smell, smells alot like the mix though, but what do you thing in up with it? other side is perfect.

check for any air leaks and make sure you are easy on it since its got new rings, i would also mix the gas a little richer than normal

How is the tranny oil. Is the clutch actually gone, or is it not adjusted properly. Is it burning tranny oil? Check your oil level and do a plug check. Impatience and lack of attention to detail is a recipe for distaster and frustration with any quad, but particularly with Banshees.

do a compression check, possible that a ring was broke when reassembling. did you just do the topend or the whole motor. make sure your clutch is adjusted properly at the case and lever. maybe do a leak down test.

Did you re-hone your cylinders when you replaced the rings to help seal them. Did you replace the gaskets or reuse them. White smoke is usualy from coolant leaking into combustion chamber.

i think ur exactly right on that, i did re-hone the cylinders, but the head is a prodesign coolhead, the rubber gaskets (rubber bands?) were a little stretched out and didnt fit well especially around the 22cc domes, its probably not sealed correctly, its done it before banghead but an easy fix at least, ill get on that, thanks for the help

oh yea, i didnt really mean the part about trading for a 4 stroke, i know better...

I've got alot of extra o-rings for the head if you need them. They are not for pro-design, but rather wicked motorspots, they should work though if you need them. Also the way 4-strokes are improved, there is nothing wrong with wanting one. I've got the 450 and the banshee. Love em both for different reasons.
