I am looking at picking up some new pipes and was wondering what the main differences between these two is. I ride mostly mx and opens trails and occasionally go to the dunes. Which pipe is going to be the better one for my riding style.

The SST has a better power spread and a little more peak power but have heard it doesn't perform as well as the fatty's with mods like porting. Check the dyno comparison below.

I agree 100% the fatties don't perform as well as the ssts with porting.

I just recently put on a set of SST's, but I haven't had a chance to really try them out yet. I'm hoping by this weekend I can give them a try. One thing I really do like about the SST is that the pipe and silencer connect close to the front of the airbox, so you don't have a bulky clamp exposed like with alot of the other pipes. Now I don't have to go out and buy the $50 billet clamps for them. I just used the stock clamps. It's kind of a bitch though to get them to connect. Once I take the bike out I'll let you guys know how it performs.

i have the sst and I feel they give me a better over all run than my friends fatties. He must think so too bc he wants me to sell him them. So i would go with the sst.

SST's have a broader powerband and a very nice throttle response. I'd go w/ them for overall. I'd go w/ the fatties if you think your going to do some extensive porting, etc...
