My shee is running better on choke. I am getting better throttle response. Does it mean my pilot is to small or what. Is my main to big?

I am looking for the trail tech stock mounts for the lights. I already have the lights and handlebar mount but, I want to move them from the handlebars to the stock location. I was testing my stator to see if it was my problem with my spark. I know on a stock stator it should be between 13.7 and 20.5. I have a 200w ricky and wanted to know if 27.4 was in the specs for a 200w

I hadn't touched the clutch or anything. I had the tors electrical unplugged. I have keihn 28 pwks so there was no need for them.

My bike has been acting weird lately. When I start her up she idles fine. Once I put it in 1st and let the clutch out it stalls out. I can rev it with the clutch pulled in but I am not sure whats going on. Any ideas????

I ran the bike today with the needle on the 2nd the clip 160 main 42 pilot. It was strong in the mid but it seemed alittle slower on the top. When I move the clips down to the 3 or 4 will it effect the top alittle? I have to do it for the hestiation anyways. but just thought I would ask before then. Also did the plug test. It was a light gray brownish color.

So before i switched the jets I started it and it didn't start first kick it was like a few. I then switched to the 160 main and the 42 pilot needle 2nd clip(2nd from the top). It started with both chokes on on the second kick but it began reving higher than it should at idle with the chokes on and backfired. I turned the choke off and it shout off. it still was hesitant when I start on the gas. what should I do?

I had installed the carbs on my shee with the main 135 and the pilot at 38. It started first kick and stayed idling. It was bogging out when I hit the throttle. like it was trying to catch up to its self. After like four sec the mid kicked in very strong and the top was better. Do i change the pilot even thought it started right up and idled or do I change it to the 42, which I am still waiting to be delivered? Also should I run a 155 main instead or the 160?

thanks I think i'll go with the 160. I am still waiting for the carbs so i'll keep you's posted on what size worked the best.

what size pilot? and is the lrd needle alot better than the keihin one? I think they may be the same 148 on 4th clip and 160 on 2nd. because the needle is stitting lower in the 160 where as yours is on the 4th clip making it sit higher. I think! but then again I am here looking for a spot to start thanks for you input.

I'll start there thanks for your help. also would you recommend a dial jet for those carbs and if so where would I get them? so I can dial in faster than rejetting everytime. just a thought.

the guy that sold them to me told me they have, "The jets are 135 main jet, 38 slow jet, 3.5 throttle valve, and JJH needle"

I currently have fmf sst pipes, coolhead 22 or 21 domes, k&n filter in airbox with lid. no snorkel. I ride near sea level. (0-maybe 500 ft) Cape Cod, MA temp ranges from 40-90 degrees I had jetted my bike with the stockers at 280 main, 27.5 pilot. needle in the middle what would be a good starting point for me, with the keihin 28mm PWK's?

I have the trail tech endurance. It works great. like MyQquad said it has more than just speed as a function. It is worth the 70 bucks check ebay they always have them. Also give trail tech a call they had very good customer service when ever I called. www.trailtech.net
