Doodle
I'm getting some Pro Circuits for my bike which is all stock except for a K&N. I'm at 3100' elevation and I was wondering if starting with a 280 main jet would be a good start. Do you usually have to go up to a 27.5 pilot or should I see how it runs first with a 280 main and stock pilot first. Also, would it make much difference running without the airbox lid or not? Any info appreciated.
Banchetta
You might be too rich w/ a 280 main. I'd start w/ a 270 main, 27.5 or 30 pilot and go from there...removing the air box lid will make a huge difference. Or you can cut the last 1.5" off the end of the lid so you still have all 4 clips to hold it on.....make sure you adjust your needle. National Banshee
Hi, Im at 3000ft, We have one here with cylinder polishing only, stock airbox and filter. It runs 290 mains, stock pilots, needles in the middle position. This quad is pulling the CPIs and the Toomeys. Have fun..
FadedDreams
When i had Pro Circuits,i was using 280 main and 30 pilot, and i'm at 1700 ft.The mains were perfect, but i think the pilots were too big.I'd try the 27.5's first and see what you think. Doodle
Thanks for the info. It'll get me close anyways. I still don't know if I should just go with the T-5's or get the PC's. The PC's are cheaper, but I sure do like the sound of the Toomeys.
Banchetta
The toomeys have better low end, the pc's have that light switch powerband that hits really hard...
