Don't know where the hell to post about this

Well my buddie and I loaded up the rides and headed out to the big labor day ride at the red river yesterday morning. When we get there I took a little cruise to the mx track.... There were 3 kickers setup 2 dirtbike ones and a quad kicker(bout a 25ft landing and 30ft gap). All of them were about 20ft long and about 12 ft high. Well I/my buddy had been talking myself into hitting the kicker. I sat and watched the 400's,450r/yfz and 250r's hitting it all day long. So I waived one of the guys over and asked him what gear and etc.. he was using to hit it. Nightfall came and the freestyle show was starting up... there go the quads one after another making it look sooooo easy. Well I line and run by it a couple times, 4th time around I went for it. Held her pinned in 3rd gear... cleared it by a good 5-7 feet . I was so pumped I couldn't even pull of a no-hander or anything the whole 6 times I jumped it. That was the highest i've EVER been on wheels and it was the shit. It through you a good 15ft. off the kicker so about 30-35ft off the ground. The landing was easier than the little podunk jumps I have in my pasture (course the elkas tend to help a little bit ). Sorry for the book but I figured my boys of the HQ would enjoy a little sunday evening story.

 

BTW: I'm sore fucking sore today I can't even bend over, the whole damd place is sand so the mx track had man eating woops in it.

I think I'll stay to the little pasture podunk jumps that farthest ive jumped was about 14 ft long and 4 ft high at the dunes

Oh man I remember hittin huge dune tips on my dads craptor. They work like kickers but they feel bigger and longer because theyre just natural dunes. Awesome man.

that feeling of hittn a jump be it a man made kicker or a natural dune..there is no drug on the planet that compairs to the feeling of flight on a bike..i look banc at the days of my late teens early 20's and have just one question when i see old photos of me jumping.. what the f*ck was i thinking!!? but i still remember the feeling of flight..i have a photo i might post here of me flying off the back side of TEST HILL landing 3/4 of the way down and i ask again what was i doing.....oh yeah i was getting my fix..some like crack coke or weed i will take flight any day

(I normally tell my buddies I'm being responsible, 37years old, wife & 2 kids, blah blah )

 

The biggest air I get is launching the bike out of the back of my pick-up truck

Having pics would require somone with a memory to throw the camera in the gear bag. Seeing as how I have the memory of a goldfish well ...... . The feeling of hitting that kicker under the lights with 200 plus watching was better than sex.

HELL YEAH MIKE!!!! You got some cojones, those things are intimidating as hell (I have yet to find one wide enough for a quad, don't really think I'd enjoy getting launched by my skidplates on the narrow dirt bike ones), but just like big dune jumps there's nothin' like it...
