There's nothing like it. If you want to get drunk until you puke and go and see PORN PORN PORN, get up around 11:00PM and walk up and down the strip. I'm told there's nothing like it. Cirque is cool but I wouldn't go to Vegas to see them in fact one trip to Vegas in this lifetime was enough for me. I'll just catch 'em again when they're in Chicago. Hahahaha just ask Fixitrod, Banchetta and JKJK's brother Joe, damn I spent way too much damn money in that place but god damn was it worth it (night before Roostfest in March heh). Was like freakin' Disneyland for me hehe, of course it might not be quite the same unless you're half tanked on Banchetta's antifreeze concoction... stclark04 Posted September 1, 2004 Report Share Posted September 1, 2004 when i went we stayed in the excalibur. it was pretty cool. we mostly walked the strip. we rode the roller coaster across the street at new york new york and rode the one on top of the stratosphere (sp). that was the scariest thing id ever done. we also watch lance burtons magic show. it was the heat. this was like 5 years ago, i think ALOT has changed since then. It's pretty much just a piss stop in the middle of the desert, till ya get to Cali..... ... TI's pretty nice, they just redid the pool area, and put in a night club. MGM, Venetian, and Bellagio also have night clubs in em, that are open just about every night of the week. Strip clubs, toss a quarter, your bound to hit one. Just about all of em have decent chicks... If your into sight seeing, Hoover Damn's about a half hour out of town, or Lake Mead(largest man made lake in the US...i know, woo hoo... ) or you could go to Red Rock Canyon..rock climbing, jeep trails, picnic areas... if your gonna stay on the strip, i wouldnt walk past the Stratosphere(at night)....it gets kinda "shady" in that area... Motorsports- There's the speedway, and even if there isnt anything going on, Shelby(Carol) has a shop out there. Cotton eyed Joe Posted September 1, 2004 Report Share Posted September 1, 2004 Me and the old lady try to go every year. We've stayed at the Luxor, the Vegas Hilton twice, and a bunch of others. If you get a chance, go see The Blue Man Group at the Luxor. Best $150 (after a couple drinks) I've spent in a while. Check out the mall at Caesars Palace too. They got some neat shit in there. The buffet at Treasure Island kicks ass, and be sure to get a skull mug while you are there. I had one, but shortly after getting back, my wife decides to THROW a can opener into the sink from across the room....BLAM!! There goes my prized skull mug. Check out if there are any races going on. The Strip raceway has circle, drag, and I think there is an indy driving and a sport driving school around there. If you have the means, you can also rent a Viper somewheres down town..Like exotic rentals or something. Just walking the strip is kind of nice early in the morning when the breeze is blowing and most of the derelicts...er....people...are still in bed. Late at night is nice too. During the day it seems to be wall to wall assholes. I also looked at/around the MGM for a plaque or some sort of statue commemorating Tupac.... didn't see shit. Drive until you get to Pahrump. Stop and fill up at the WalMart, then follow the billboards to the whore houses. If you want, turn about 15-20 miles before Pahrump, and you'll go to Dumont.
