I'm possibly going to be ordering this Tusk clutch kit which doesn't include springs. RM also sells an EBC spring set which are supposed to be 10% stiffer than stock. Should I get the Tusk clutch and EBC springs are just reuse the stock springs?

BTW, I'm replacing the clutch plates because when I shift during a race it revs real high (clutch slip), then goes back to normal throughout the gear. I assume that's the plates.

Thanks for input!

yea order the springs, no need for stock springs with a nice new clutch, if its to hard for you to pull, use half stock and half ebc springs, good luck man

This brings up a question, because i am too soon getting the Tusk clutches....would it be better to go with the EBC springs or something like Barnett or Toomey? IIRC, the Barnett and Toomey are much stiffer than stock, correct?

I got this setup also. For some reason though i cant get the thing to shift easy or go into neutral. I put the clutch in the same order as it said too in the repair manual, but now if i pull the clutch in 1st or any gear it just rolls. I tried adjusting it at the base but it just made it worse when i lined up the arrows. Anyone have any advice? that would be great thanks.

Last year my banshee was slipping I since added a 12 port PassionRe stroker Still useing the stock banshee fibers & plates but I add 3 tommey springs and it's not slipped even tho I add a extra 15 Horse power to them. It's a stiffer clutch but that was where i was have problems.

Stock clutch are good but the springs are week link in the system.

I would try the tommey springs first before i buy new fibers unless i knew for sure they where worn beyond spec.

could save you some cash.
