  1. The time has come to sell the shee. Despite the age, it is been ridden very little. Much of the life of the shee has been spent sitting in my garage. Nothing is wrong with the operations of the shee, it will crank and ride great. I am selling it because I am moving out of state and grown out of riding it. It is garaged at 42088 in western Kentucky. I would like $2800, but would entertain reasonable offers. Various pics of the shee are available at http://www.geocities.com/fox73zz/quad.html If pics of anything else in more detail is wanted, I will get it. I do not guarantee checking my email or thread daily because I do not have internet at my home. I will check it and answer any questions within 3 days. I will try sooner but I cannot promise it. Sorry about the inconvenience. I will be able to take calls though, 270-705-8685 till 10pm central time. If there is no answer, please leave a message with your phone number, I work in places where service is intermittent. Following is a list of mods done and what is included. Again, any questions just ask. 2. I have a set of straight paddles, mounted. They are 20" with 8 paddles. The paddles are the depth of my thumbnail (I don't know the depth of new paddles, so I cannot judge how much wear is on them) One of the paddles has some damage, a V shaped notch about 3 inches wide and half the depth of the paddle. I used them one time and they worked well then. I am located in western kentucky (42088). I have no idea about shipping, havn't checked into it yet, but if you are interested in them, make me an offer. I can get pics if you are interested as well.
  3. Item is now on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...DME:L:LCA:US:31
  4. No interest in a running quad with $1200 of front end parts alone? No offers?
  5. No interest in the quad? $2700 or best offer?

  9. Well the time has come to part with my baby. 1 owner, 97 Banshee, Red on black Pics at http://www.geocities.com/fox73zz/quad.html If anybody wants something more specific just ask Mods: Engine: PSI ceramic coated pipes/silencer (mid-upper range) shaved stock head TDR reeds ported reed cage Dynojet needles installed (assortment of jets and stock needles included) stock carbs with TORS removed and idle adjusters installed K&N air filter with outerwares on alum adaptor plate lightened flywheel stock stator plate modded to +4 degrees clear flywheel cover relocated the overflow bottle clear radiator hoses alum. trans dipstick Frame: AC front bumper AC grab bar AC nerf bars (left is bent a little, see pic, think I rubbed a tree, been like that for so long don't remember) Ran all the wireing in the frame tubes relocated the electronics from the rear to behind the fuel tank/under the seat removed unneeded tabs from frame reinforced stress points on frame (rad loop, and rear subframe) HDPE (high density polyethelyne plastic) skid plate pro design kill switch renthal bars (purchased used, not sure of bend) key switch removed, hidden kill switch installed cut front fenders Suspension: -2 cut stock swingarm carrier has new bearings and installed zerk fittings main swingarm bolt has zerk fitting installed Ebrake block off Quicksand special a arms, +2+1, fully adjustable, red PC lower, Chrome uppers with thick rear tube (that is special) New upper heim joints, lowers still good though TCS dual rate, zero preload, comp adj, remote rezzie front shocks (set up for 230# mx) Red on black flame shock covers all around SS braided brake lines all around new bearings in front spindles with zerk fittings installed stock rear wheels with 20" turf tammers (lots of tread left) douglas red label wheels with groved rikken radials on front (wheels have sone nicks in lip, few bends, still ride very well) out of the 10 or so years I have owned the quad, it has sit for nearly 4 unused, so not a lot of wear. I will throw in a set of cut rear fenders to the buyer (if wanted) I will also throw in a twist throttle setup to the buyer (if wanted) I think it is worth $4000, but I don't know if it would bring that, so make me an offer I live in western kentucky (42088). I will ship at buyers expense, but prefer pickup. I can meet within 75 or so miles for free, over that, we would have to work something out. Got any questions, just ask. thanks. Fox73-zz
  10. UPDATE: I removed my coil, tested it, it checked ok. While I had it out, I removed the boots and but 1/2 of wire off so the boots had contact with new, good wire. When I put the coil back on, I noticed the black wire's connector was way too loose. I squeezed the connector back tight, made all my connections and it was fixed. It was probably that loose conection all the time. Now, I feel a little stupid for missing it, but relieved it wasn't anything expensive gone bad. Thanks for the help guys Fox EDIT: Now that I actually read the ELE FAQ, I feel REALLY stupid...Q40 was my problem, even down to the female spade connector Oh BenBB A32 says the coil is held on by a 12mm head bolt, mine was a 10mm, just FYI
  11. Thanks, Other than having a resistor, is there anything special about the plug boot? I have some left over from when I made my wires for my truck.... Thanks again guys Fox
  12. I went out to ride one day and the shee cranked fine and ran fine...at idle. When you give it more gas, one cyl misses. I thought jetting first, but I switched the plug caps and it followed the coil wire, not the cyl. I have tried new plugs. I am out of ideas on what to check, and I don't know anybody else around that rides a shee to I can borrow parts. Any idea on just what to check? FYI, TORS is gone, modded stock timing plate, stock coil, stock cdi I hadn't changed anything around the time it messed up, just started suddenly Thanks guys Fox
  13. Do you need the end that is right hand thread or left hand thread? I believe the outters have the LH thread
  14. Don't forget about TCS. IMO, comparable to elka, at a little lower price. I purchased mine through CT Racing, but you can also get them from TCS themselves. Sorry, I don't have the number to reach Todd (the owner)....do a search for it and it will come up I am sure.
  15. the tie rods with damaged ends, which ends are damaged? I am needing a good outter end.
  16. I know the old and new carriers are different, but can you use a new carrier on an old swingarm? Also, anybody have any experience buying from Yamaha Banshee Rider ...he has a swingarm I am interisted in.
  17. This brings up a question, because i am too soon getting the Tusk clutches....would it be better to go with the EBC springs or something like Barnett or Toomey? IIRC, the Barnett and Toomey are much stiffer than stock, correct?
  18. matt, tried to reply to pm, but it failed. pm me an email addy, or allow pm's and I have some info for you.
  19. naa, I am not wanting a stock piece. I am looking for either the on the fly adjuster screw, or a whole new perch/lever with the on the fly adjuster. Thanks though
  20. As some of you know, I had a wreck about 2 months ago. I found another thing that was damaged on my bike. I have a GP Performance clutch perch with the "on the fly" adjuster, single large nut. Well, when I rolled it forward, it bent the adjuster nut at the threads. I was wondering if anybody had an extra one (other brands may work, I am not sure) lying around. I contacted Advantage performance, the distributer for GP Performance, and they said the place they get them from buys them from overseas, and they just come prepackaged, so no luck there. Thanks guys.
  21. Hey Blue, is your revalved stocker just been revalved/resprung or does it also have the SSD/SCS/ZPS conversion? DUNEDEMON: I have the TCS SCS on my front, those with my AS +2+1 arms makes it pretty low....I love it. I am just thinking about my rear shock next, that's especially why I am interisted in Blue's answer to the question above.
