Banshee's don't use computers. CDI stands for capacitor discharge ignition. You can get aftermarket cdi's that will boost performance and are programable..AKA Dyna, FMF, MSD..even Yamaha's own gy-rt brand line. They all retail for less then the cost of a stock replacement.

I had a FMF one and it was ok untill it blew. Then I got a Dyna and I love it. Love how you can choose from 4 different curves. Or if you want to program your own curve you can buy software and make your own...never tried that though.

A new one on the market is Vortex, Duncan are the US Distributors, after using it on their race Quads.

It has ten selectable maps, including different maps for each gear, and a handlebar selector switch. Also programmable by PC.

The gear dependant mapping doesn't seem to be available on the banshee, at least not according to Duncan. And without a sensor for wheelspeed, or a gear indicator like some YZs or WRs have, it would be pretty hard to get gear dependant mapping.

It doesn't sound like you have a Vortex on a banshee, so why are you recommending it?
