SyNtAxx Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 Hello, I was just wondering what a set of keihin pwk 28 carburators would do for my bike. My mods are listed below. I presume it would help my port job out a lot, yes/no? If sombody could list the pros/cons(if any) of adding a set of these to my ride I would be grateful. Also...what size jets would I need approximately? I have heard that jetting these is easier than the stock carbs? If so how come? Would i benefit in getting larger than 28mm carbs now...if I plan to stroke or adjust my port work for my power ? Will the 28's fit the stock intake boots ? sd there a loss of bottom end ( what litte there already is) ? Gains in mid range or top end ? Thanks in advance..... Nick Quote
H300F Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 I have pwk30s on my passion 4mm engine. they added alittle bit everywhere. they will fit stock intakes. dont expect to much gains though. they are easier to jet because they have plugs on the bottom of the bowls. also the carb tops have 2 screws instead of treaded tops which i like, no more carb syncing if tops come off or stripped tops. also slide doesnt have screws to take the needles out. tats4life Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 (edited) all around great carbs, and you will see some performace gains, even if you have a stock motor. call carb parts warehouse and buy them direct. www.carbparts.com depending upon your elevation i'm at sea level and i'm jetted 48 pilot 3rd clip, 162 main.
