  1. This is normal with Barnett because they are a little thicker than stock.Just make sure you have the cable adjusted a little looser than you had it adjusted with the stock clutch.
  2. Spray carb cleaner around the reed gaskets & the base gaskets to see if you have an air leak in that area.
  3. Check your stator voltage. It might be too much.compare it to another banshee.Check your ground by the cdi and the back of the stator plate.
  4. What is the best way to do a stroker?Use the wiseco kit that has the pistons and gaskets or just use the wiseco stroker crank, port the cylinders, and miil the head or domes for the pistons to clear?
  5. Check your cable. It might be binding.
  6. Make sure you have a good ground.
  7. Pump the crank case with about 7 lb's of air & look for an air leak with soapy water.
  8. It's hard to shift it on the table because the tranny isn't moving as fast .Look at the shift shaft & make sure it isn't bent.
  9. Check out Port Magic Racing!Talk to Rudy,He is one the best that I have seen.Very easy to talk to!Doesn't feed you a bunch of BS either!
  10. You might have an air leak,if its idling higher than normal.
  11. That's one of the biggest problem found to eat clutches on these bikes. A $10 dollar cable!
  12. Is the fire weak,(orange) not blue?Find out what your compression is?Make sure the pilot jets are not clogged? If you have the tors on it,unplug it at the black box on the left hand side(statorside) under the gas tank.
  13. You might be able to go up to 280 or 290 mains. If the bike is running great on the 260's,not popping or falling off the other end.I don't think bigger carbs going to help you.
  14. How can this cooler work? The bikes don't get that hot!You don't have a thermostat in it.If it does work how much cooler does your bike run?
  15. Make sure you got it in gear when you adjust it.No it doesn't matter how far you screw it in.I would set it close to the bottom pin for up shifting. You can also cut the bottom of the hole that slips over the adjustment screw to help it shift better. It will give it more leverage to pull it in gear.It doesn't take much.Under a 1/8 of an inch, but be sure not to cut to much because it will over shift it(skip a gear).
  16. A 2 stroke doesn't sound like a 4 stroke when they detonates it sounds like a chain skippping on a sprocket. It's a little faster detonating than a 4 stroke. That's what I notice in the past when I seen them do it.
  17. What is the percent of the oxygenation on the sunoco 94?We run 165-170 compression with 8 degrees of timing on pump 93,and had no proplems with detonation. The bikes been running for 2-3 years on it.
  18. The pwk's 28 work great! You have a better throttle responce and pull great over the entire band.
  19. Crankworks will do an excellent job or you can buy a wiseco from them the phone # is: 480 897 1746.
  20. Weld the crank! If you worry about reliabilty. If you want to go fast do some more porting to it.Just don't cutting up the cylinders where it will start eating the pistons & rings.
  21. Not really. It's kinda hard to ride it on trails lower.
  22. Make sure there is nothing behind the seat where the float needle allows fuel to enter in the bowl.I had a piece of rubber get stuck causing the float needle not to seal off ,leaking out the overflow and vent tubes.
  23. Check the plugs and the plug caps. They been known to go bad also.I use to run 17cc domes.I had 214lbs of compression. It didn't hurt anything.I use vp c 12 race fuel worked great.I had 300 main jets, but I'm in south at sea level, not quite where you are.The only thing about using 17's domes it will slow you down some on the top end.I later went to 19 cc domes to gain my top end back. The 17 domes help with throttle response, but you can put more timing in it for that instead using 17cc domes.
