Wassup350 Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 I just bent one of the crappy J-arms the other day flipping my banshee doing a good wheelie gone bad. I was looking at some brand new J-arms and they are liek 143 dollars!!! i tried ebay but couldnt find any used ones. Does anyone know where i can get a set of used J-arms or something to replace them that isnt that much money? Quote
LegendSS28 Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 Hey man, I'd say now is a good time to convert to a arms Quote
duketj8 Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 Yeah you can go to thebansheezone.com and pick up an aarm conversion kit for $140. Then all you have to do is find some cheap aarms off ebay. Quote
Yaxy Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 Try Adirondack cycle in Boonville NY. Tim might have something. Chris Quote
roosthrower Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 I didn't use the j-arm to a-arm conversion kit from meats site to do mine. I bought some steel tubeing and made the mounting spots. It only cost me like ten bucks and some time to fabricate the pieces. Quote
roosthrower Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 and btw: when my shee took a direct hit on my old j-arm from a tree the frame actually bent instead of the j-arm. make sure your frame isn't bent. Quote
Wassup350 Posted April 14, 2004 Author Report Posted April 14, 2004 (edited) Naw i compared the good one to the bad one and it is definitely bent. I have seen some people who have different arms for their 87s that look pretty trick. I know lonestar makes a nice D-arm and V-arms but they are a little too pricey for me. I have thought of getting an a-arm conversion but i think i'd rather keep it original. I know it might sound stupid but i just think that the old j-arms are unique and are kinda cool even though they are weaker. An other thing is that the pipes i have on it now probably wont fit with an a-arm frame. They are oldschool bills. They look a little too long. Edited April 14, 2004 by Wassup350 Quote
Rescuejeff Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 Call IMS in Calif for thier conversion kits, the A-arms are Roll designed ones and you can get your shocks throught htme at the same time, might cost a penny, but worth the money. Quote
