  1. My sleeve was cracked on my left cylinder so I took both cylinders to be worked on, one resleeved and one bored out. When I picked them up the wrong cylinder was resleeved and the sleeve was not in straight. So the guy is going to resleeve both of the cylinders again. What should I look for to make sure this idiot did it right this time? Do the new sleeve port holes need to be the ground to the exact same size as the holes in the cylinder? Thanks, Greg
  2. You should get a laugh from this one. I let my cousin get on my banshee and I jumped on his kodiak. So we are going along and the tire blows out on the kodiak and I put it in a ditch and fly over the handle bars. To make a long story short I ended up bending the frame on the kodiak. Does anyone know where to get a bent frame fixed and if it is even possible? Thanks, Greg
  3. OK so I guess it would have a reed cage but it doesnt have the metal part where the reeds are stopped.
  4. Yeah you can go to thebansheezone.com and pick up an aarm conversion kit for $140. Then all you have to do is find some cheap aarms off ebay.
  5. When I pulled my reeds out there was no reed cage. Is this a normal aftermarket reed set up? Does anyone know what type of reeds these might be?
  6. I turns out that my left cylinder has cracked. I was wondering if anyone knew here I could get a resonably priced left cylinder? Does anyone know if it would be cheaper to get it resleeved and where to get it done? Thanks, Greg

    Left Cylinder

I am looking for a left side banshee cylinder.
  9. I stripped it down and I had a broken piston and the one that wasnt broken looked worse it had a broken ring. I think the crank is ok is there something to look for to make sure the crank is good?
  10. Yeah shee falls on her face at full throttle. Does that sound about right?
  11. My banshee has 80 psi on one cylinder and 110 on the other. I am pretty sure this is not good. Does anyone know what the right compression is?
  12. In my yamaha manual it says to take the reading from where the black wire comes off to the spark plug lead. I checked it that way and got nothing. I also checked it from where the orange lead to the spark plug lead and got nothing. I did check my stator and it is within factory specs. I just want to know if since I didnt get a reading do you think my coil is bad?
  13. My primary coil resistance jumps from .5 to .4 ohms which is a little high but close enough to .38. My secondary resistance doesnt measure at all so I am thinking that my coil is bad. I am pretty sure I was measuring right I just put one of the probes in the sparkplug boot touching metal of course and the other where the black lead would be connected on the coil. If anyone knows if this is what a bad coil looks like please let me know. Thanks, Greg
  14. I have an 87 banshee that starts and runs good until wot then it bogs and backfires. I have cleaned the carbs and rejeted the mains fro 210, 230, 250, 270. It runs the same with any jet. It is just set up with fmf pipes and a uni filter and 32:1 mix. I have tested the stator and the readings are right in the middle of where they should be. Could the stator still be bad? Any help would be great. Thanks, Greg
  15. I am using 32:1. I have been looking arround and most people are saying it is either my stator or parking brake wiring. I have the tors disconected so that is ruled out.
  16. I cant figure out why my banshee backfires at WOT. I have tried different main jets 210, 230, 250, 270. It runs the same with each size. It is just set up with some fmf pipes and a uni filter. Other than that it seems to start up ok and idle fine. Any help would be great. Thanks, Greg
