Banchetta Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Soak them overnight if you can, if not, then long as possible...I dipped mine in oil and slapped them in....When you put the steel plates in, put the sharp edge in, so the chamfered edge is facing you......If you look on one side of the steel plate, its flat like a clean cut, the other side is rounded over (chamfered).... Id like to be able to have them on by Wednesday night after they arrive. Practice Wednesday, last one before the first race, and I've only practiced once at the track so far. But if I'm gonna absolutely HAVE to let them soak for a while then I guess I'll do that. Thanks for the info. Quote
Banchetta Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 I just coated mine and threw them in, they've been holding up to my 4 mil stroker......No guarantees though, I dont' know exactly how long to soak them...My instructions just said "soak them".......didn't say how long.....dumb ass companies... locogato11283 Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 i let mine sit for as long as it takes to get the side cover off. then they go in. if you have a stock clutch remember to take the little rubbers out. you dont need them with the aftermarket clutch. Quote

Directions said 10 min to soak, never did see the different sides of the plates so I hope all is well in there. Hey Banchetta what might happen if the edges were not lined up like you said??? Quote
