nice choice

We use that acid at work under strict conditions to strip weld heat marks of stainless steel if you forget about the stainless and leave it for a few days its like holy shit i got to make another one again. Depending on strength that acid eats thru gold and can get in your bown marrow and start lukemia (no shit)

take the pipes to a chrome works and im sure they can sought it

Lowes has HCl??????

Where??? I use it from time to time in an acid etching pen for marking materials. You can't just look at 1045 and know its 1045.

well i actually went there for some meriatic acid, seeings how i couldnt find any HCI anywhere. walk over to the paint section ask the dude if he has any meriatic acid, yeah its right around the corner. walk over walk right into the poision sign. and there it was they had cases of it i was gonna get some but im just gonna look to see if i cant find a chroming place first to take this fuckin chrome off.

whats 1040 and know its 1040? does 1040 have anything to do with HCI?

Oh 1045 is a steel. Its different than 1018. Some of my jobs require 1045 not 1018. The parts would fail or not pass inspection if they aren't the right material. Acid etching is easier than a paint marker or paper tags.

I didn't know Lowes had muratic acid either.....damn...I need to walk around that place more.

yeah go in the paint section and ask them. i walked in the lawn and garden section and asked someone and they looked at me like i was crazy and asked what i want it for, and then said i dont think we do but you can check with the paint department. fartknockers.
