sierrabanshee Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 sandnureyez, I'm heading out early saturday morning. I would like to go friday night but i have to much work . I will be driving a early 90's chevy truck blue & white with a red halmark enclosed trailer with a airplane logo on the side. In the camp there will be a lifted crewcab ford (black) with a weekend warrior and some others but i don't know what they are going to bring. I will have my banshee and my girl will have a 400ex plus there is about 6-8 banshee in our group. hope to see some of you their. Chris Quote
Travis's Banshee Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 The Dodge was yellow at one time, then a primer grey. Always ran bald 35" type tires. Quote
Ducman Posted April 9, 2004 Author Report Posted April 9, 2004 I'm not sure if my dad's going to make it with the RV, but I'm going to get there one way or another for the weekend of the 17th, 18th, or the 24th, 25th. Hopefully with the RV cause its a fun ass party wagon. I can't wait, I've only ever ridden sand on the coast before, so this should be pretty cool. It would be really cool to hook up with some HQers that know the doons. I'll post (soon) when I know for sure what we'll be driving and what date we'll be there. Do cell phones work out there at the mountain? Quote
Travis's Banshee Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 My AT&T phone worked, but I had to stand on top of the truck w/my left arm point up and east. You get the idea. Reception may be better now, its been a few years since I was there. Quote
theeechozen1 Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 I might make a trip out there in my bosses truck just to poke around and see it first hand, I'll be in a white (top) and gold bottom 2 tone mitsubishi montero. If you guys see me out there getting lost wave me down so we can kill a few brewhaus Quote

dirtbike killer Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 We'll Sand Mountain was a blast until by wife got hurt. For you that made it there, you might of seen it. She was riding my blue lt250r, and didn't slow down for a razor. She went end over end, and now is in ICU at Washoe Med. It sucks when your having the time of your life, and this kind of stuff happens. Quote
Travis's Banshee Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 Sorry to hear that man. Is she going to be ok? Quote
theeechozen1 Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 I think I passed you about 2:45 or so going towards the dunes, a big ass blue &white ford crew cab going the other direction on 50. The looked like someone picked up comp hill and set it in the middle of the desert Quote
Ducman Posted April 13, 2004 Author Report Posted April 13, 2004 Damb, sorry to hear that DBK. Hope she has a good recovery. I had a similar event with my wife skiing this winter, not nearly that bad though, but did end up in the hospital emergency room and had to go back for minor surgery a couple days later. Luckily my wife healed up surprisingly fast. I'll be arriving at Sand Mountain April 23rd (late Friday evening) with the motorhome/partywagon and riding the doons on the 24th and 25th . I'll have some big HQ logos on the motorhome. We will have a all black ltd banshee, black and white blaster, and a Honda utility quad (dark color) with 25" GBC paddle masters. I got a cold one waiting for any HQer that comes a knockin (don't be knockin when a rockin though.. J/K ) Can't wait! Quote

dirtbike killer Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 (edited) Last night she started breathing on her own, so thats real good. But she will still be in ICU for at lease a couple more weeks they say. I wish I could of seen some of you guys out there. I was hoping the meet some HQers out there. I did meet a lot of cools people out there. Also I kocky guy on a real fast 450. I was beating all the 450's with pipes and bolt on's, but this one guy had a REALLLLLLL fast 450. I didn't know they had enough stuff out yet to get those things that fast. He just keep beating me , and there was nothing I could do . . Might be time to stick this 4mm in that I have. Because he wasn't beating me by much, maybe a quad at the top of the hill. Edited April 13, 2004 by dirtbike killer Quote
theeechozen1 Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 Hey sandinureyes, do you work on spice island drive in Sparks?? I think I saw a truck like yours on the way in this morning. Sierra... I am working on a way to ship my bike up from AZ right now, the cheapest price I have on a crate is 200.00 and some change so that sucks. I can do the shipping for under a hundo using my companies discount but dont know if I wanna take the chance of strapping it to a pallet and shipping it up here. I should get it done and if so I will see you guys that weekend Quote
