DUNEDEMON Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 Not to be a dick, but are you certain that your chain is adjusted propperly? Are you using the stock rollers or aftermarket rollers? Quote
ranshee Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 Get the aftermarket chain sliders if you dont already. Quote
doltz Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 I also live in Michigan & when I race out on the ice I break one every time. But in the summer they work great. I think they get brittle real easy. Quote
FastASSBANSHEE70 Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 get rid of the stock rollers they suck! Quote
knight_ripper Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 UPP makes chain guides and rollers for the shee. You can buy it as a set for like 80 bux. two rollers and two guides. Ive had mine for about a year now and no sign of wear. Scratches yes....but not worn in. Quote
biggdaddy521 Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 I GO THROUGH ALOT BUT I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS CAUSE I AM FAT. Quote
BenBB Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 Try some TM Powerlip rollers. I just got a set (was already running their swingarm slider on the front) and they are the shit. Instead of a single sealed roller bearing they use two. Whenever I have my quad lowered for TT the upper roller would shell out; the stock rollers only have a single bearing on the inside (bolt head side), and when chain tension exerts force on the roller, it "cocks" in the roller bore and quickly eats the bearing, or wallows out the outside of the roller against the mounting bolt. My new TM rollers are much smoother too, I'll be getting a rear roller guide from them soon. Good luck. Quote
