loganskinner Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 so my friends and i decided to go riding off of SR 33. for those of you who live in central florida, you know that is the only place that you can really go aside from croom in Brookesville if you dont have your own private land. well 3 friends and i decided to take a saturday off and ride out there, they are all brothers, and they all had just bought brand new Suzuki LTZ400's the week before. well we rode all day in the sand and various trails that line the highway, and one of the guys, E.J. decided to try and catwalk the whole length of the road. (just over a mile) he did it, successfully, about 4-5 times, and on the sixth time, a car passed him going the opposite direction, he was in top gear, wound out on the back 2 tires and the wind caught the quad and slammed it back on the grab bar. E.J. hit the brakes and almost had the front tires back down when another car passed him and pushed more wind under him causing the quad to go back onto the bar. well E.J. fell off and slid on his back/legs/hands/helmet off the road and into the rocks and dirt along the side, which caught his feet and slung him up and face first into the ground, while the helpless bike flipped somewhere between 6 and 10 times, coming to a rest on the seat. needless to say, one of us rode off and got his truck and took him to the hospital, and the other of us limped his battered z400 back to the trailors with half a set of handlebars, and no right front tire. E.J. ended up with road rash over about 30% of his body, and losing a quad he has yet to make even the first payment on. man, that was a day to remember. Quote

knight_ripper Posted May 3, 2004 Report Posted May 3, 2004 It took me a few wrecks to figure out how to ride too. Now I ride harder and better than ever before. Thanks to a hard breakin period. This is what Ive broke..... Pelvis..On a roll over. Wrist..Ridin the dunes...didnt see a 6ft razorback....and Indoed Hand..landed with just my fingers on the bars while jumping....bent my hand all the way back and snaped some of the chicken bones in there. Ankle..Damn Dunes....lol. Slipped off jumpin...landed funny....thats all I remember...lol. I probably have brused or bent every other part on my body....lol. All seperate rides..... Gotta love ridin...... Quote
