bansheegirl01 Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 Will I feel ANY difference while putting the boost bottle on? Thanks again, lots of questions today. Quote
XTShee Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 99% of people will say No there wont be any diffrence in HP. All they really do is look a little better. They have been discussed a lot on here Quote
ledofthezep Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 HP,...no. There's a lot of controversy about this topic, if ya were to do a search you could read up on many people's opinions. I know of a lot of people who swear by them, and a lot who say they don't do chit. So I dunno. I run one on mine, when I put it on shee was mostly stock. I didn't notice any power gains at all, but I did notice better throttle response; but that's about it. Quote
Cooker Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 It's supposed to prevent lag in the throttle in low RPM situations when you're on and off the throttle a lot, like woods or XC riding. It works kind of like a capacitor in an electrical circuit if that makes any sense to you. It DOES NOT increase HP and was never designed or intended to. Quote
BdBanshee Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 I took mine off last year, rode a day at the dunes, and then put it back on. I could tell the difference, and my Banshee runs better with it. Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted March 24, 2004 Report Posted March 24, 2004 they add NO hp, they ADD throttleresponce, someon on here did a dyno run with a stock crossover tube and a boostbottle and lost hp Quote
banshee tuner Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 I put mine on with stock pipes and felt better throttle response. With pipes it feels like it revs higher but looses power before the powerband. It also sounds different with it. So I run without mine. Quote
Ducman Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Will I feel ANY difference while putting the boost bottle on? Thanks again, lots of questions today. Dont listen to all these ney sayers. After you install that boost bottle let me tell you better hang on tight!!! To your wallet next time your at the dealership! Quote
sredish Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 best thing i ever did for my trinity cv intake. but where does the other side connect?? Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 HAHAHA good one sredish ,when i first got my shee i read about the boost bottles, and was like wtf do i put one! glad i saw the light Quote
Banshee_Fever Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 My friend has a boost bottle (thats it) on his shee and my other friend with a stock shee said the one with the boost bottle on it felt more powerful. i do not know how true this is because i have only rode the stock one. P.S. i don't think it should be called a "boost bottle" if it really does not do anything lol Lata Quote
03'ScreaminShee Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 I bought a UM boost bottle a few weeks ago to put on my new shee. I could definitely tell it gave it more throttle response. Compared it to the stock crossover tube and could tell the difference in the throttle response so I kept it on. Quote
Holyman Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Read this and then decide. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...hl=real+science Unless your engine is ported, there is no provable improvement. In fact there is a scientific equatio on how to calculate the improvement... Take the weight of the stock crossover tube and add it to the weight of $35 in cash. Then take the weight of the boost bottle. Then using quantum physics extrapolate how much the lighter banshee will go. Then decide if you're gonna buy a boost bottle. Quote
boonman Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 I have stock porting, and I have tested, Not a dyno test, just my ass dyno. I tried boost bottle, balance tube, ad nothing at all, just plugged with aluminum plugs I made. I found that the plugs made the bike perform morre how I wanted the bike to perform. Quote
SICK BOY Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Boon I heard of people pluging the intake holes. What does it perform like when this is done? Quote
