Trinity Single Carb Kit.pros And Cons.

Ok sorry if its been discussed before but i couldnt find it(aprt from my other post)

 

 

Whats the advantages and disadvantages if any to running this carb kit??Seems this is the way i need to go.

 

Also could one of these be fitted as a direct replacement without swapping pipes etc,etc??

 

Where did you guys get yours?iv been emailing them at Trinity and no response.Iv asked a few quad dealers in UK,2 of them had never heard of a single carb kit for the Banshee.

 

Any help greatly appreciated.

Pro is tunning 1 carb.

 

Con is top end power lose a little!

but not enough to miss!

pro, easy tuning, looks good i think!, great throttle response, better bottom end, bad is takes a lil off the top but not enough for peopel to hate

the reason it takes off the top end is the fact that its not getting as much air as the two carbs. i think if your into letting it rip at 90 miles an hour dont get it. but if your into taking off like a jet and only doing hills get it. just my thought.

hills, trails, mx, and even dunes. it does not have the top end of a pair of 34s, but it has way more top end than a pair of stockers!!

i have a single 34mm flat slide, power jet, mikuni carb and my bike will pull 90mph proven on a couple of time sheets from the 1/4 drag track

That's what I've gathered from reading here. I would say if ALL you do is drag the twin carbs would be best, but what fun is that?

Just a thing to think about, if you are going on longer trail rides away from the truck. If that one carb gums up or otherwise shits the bed you are S.O.L. I have seen on more then on ocasion someone limping home on one Carb. du too sand or coal. Just playing the Devil's Advocate

PRO'S: no carb syncronization, cleaner airbox area, dumps the boost bootle and TORS in one shot, less work when frequently changing jets, just easier all around. i love mine and unless your only riding 6th gear on the highway, what's a little off the top end....

That's a good point, but that really just puts you in the same boat as every other ATV.

Who wants to be like every other atv out there (sing carb)?

 

I love my twin carbs....while true it can be a pain in the ass to get everyting running perfect...but to me thats the fun of having a Banshee....

 

I never road a singel carb setup so I cant really add any value to this thread...lol
