Is 36mm Too Big?

i can get a good deal on a graydon proline 2 into 1 but it has 36mm keihin with it i was wondering if this will be too big.my mods are 60.over,dmc pipes,boyesen reeds,+2 timing advance.i plan to have a mild port job in the future

It'd work good, and would be even greater with a port job.

What do you run? Dunes? Mx? Drag? The 36 will cause you to loose a bit on the bottom..even with a 2 to 1 setup. I'd get a 32 or 34 for the 2 to 1.

you will still retain plenty of bottom end with a single 36. we had one set up on my mates bike and it ran fine

i mostly ride trails i live in southern indiana so not alot of wide open spaces

With those mods it sounds to me like you can still use the stock carbs...

that carb will work really good for you, especially with the DMCs. It will also be a great trail carb with your future port.

That carb would work fine. Singles have such great response you wont really notice anybottom end loss. It will just but a little harder to tune in since a 33mm would be a little better with no port work.
