dnhyoung Posted March 7, 2004 Report Posted March 7, 2004 I'm afraid to post how much I spent on my shee, cause then there's a chance my wife might see this post, and know that I spent more on my shee than I have on her Quote
87blueshee Posted March 7, 2004 Report Posted March 7, 2004 i have about 5000 into mine including the price for mine. once this winter rebuild is done im done spending money on it for awhile. Time to spend it on something else maybe a bigger truck to haul the shee around so i can look twice as cool haha. Quote
Wassup350 Posted March 7, 2004 Report Posted March 7, 2004 Bought er for 1250, last year put 1000 bucks worth of engine work in er, this winter done about 500 bucks of misc. stuff. Not too much but considering im 18 and work at mcdonalds its quite a bit. Quote
MILO Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 i made the mistake of tracking the $$ i have in her. but i didn't think it was a mistake until the wife found that file. anyway, basically $6,000 new, and about $1900 afterwards. that's mods, and general repairs together. $7900, but i'm sure it's just the beginning. -Turbo- Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 So far I have $3200 in my new project, what sucks is that I dont have anything that can crank, roll or anything close! Maybe another 3 grand just to have something to roll around. Quote
nater006 Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 2500 for the quad, and about 700 in parts for now. But... when I bought mine, it needed a new chain and sprockets, cables, skid plate, and more. Plus the RS 200w stator and some new lights didn't help. But... not going to keep track in the future. I don't want to look at it any differently Quote
jumpman23 Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 I bought my 02 shee for $5k with a trailer, and in 8-9 months I am going on $2,500!! Quote
ledofthezep Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 I've lost track and don't want to look back. I hear that,...with what I paid for it, and what I've payed to get her where shee is today...OUCH is all I can say. But it's all been more than worth it! Quote
bbluebanshee Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 I have been building mine for about 2 years. Last years teardown was all about the motor. Teardown, port and polish, +4 crank, new clutch. This year it is the complete teardown. New +6 swingarm YFZ450 shocks Billet:stator cover, brake resevoir, waterpump cover, clutch insert, and on and on. Lonestar axle Everything chromed(on its way to the shop now ) Braided lines and a lot of other stuff, i figure about 4000 for the bike and about 3500 after. whooo, thinkin about it ....dang, thats all i can say Quote
DUNEDEMON Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 Well I have about 9 grand in the bike, then I bought a Weekend Warrior toy hauler trailer to take the bike / camp in the dunes in comfort and a Dodge truck to pull the traailer with the bike to the dunes. Only to add insult to injury I purchased everything new, and financed the truck and trailer, so if I added everything up including the finance charges (interest) I probably have.......oh shit, never mind, I don't want to know. But hell it's fun, and the sad part is I'm getting ready to buy a bigger truck and bigger trailer. Some one help me! Quote
