    sandblast it, mine was rusted and looked like shit. i sandblasted it and painted it dark blue, now it looks like a million bucks

    first time i rode mine was at 10:00 at night in the pouring rain with no headlites. ripped down my street at home.only sport quad i rode before was a 250ex.riding my banshee just about scared the shit out of me.i hit 5th gear and couldnt see a damn thing.it was pretty cool

    try turning your pilot air screw in,i have mine 1/2 turn out.when i had my airscrew out 1 1/2 it ran too lean causing it to die after i started it up. give it a try and see what happens.oh and i have the same setup as you and i run stock pilots,needle middle position and 320 mains and runs pretty strong.

    just splice them babies together with sealed connectors.works great and looks very clean.did it to mine and have no complaints

    i had the same prob as you. i converted my stock wiring harness into a race harnes without the key switch, tors and she sparked like a mofacky. but im guessing youll prob need a cdi. i talked to my neighbor and he said thats pretty common with the older machines.i have a spare cdi for my 87 if you want it? it works like new.

    I bought a 04 yfz 450 throttle off ebay like a week ago for 50 bucks.anyways i had to file off about a 1/4" off, where the throttle cable screws into the housing and hook her up. i have to say it looks pretty sweet and works like a charm.beats the heck out of the old throttle i had on it before. ill put some pics up once i figure out how
