shannonpurdy Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 I have been told by a high performance accessory and porting company that the boost bottle used between the carbs is a gimmick. Is this true? I have removed mine since I have installed the 35 mm Keihin carbs because of space constraints. I do have an equalization tube between them. Quote
sredish Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 I have been told by a high performance accessory and porting company that the boost bottle used between the carbs is a gimmick. To some extent, you could say that's true. I do have an equalization tube between them. That's all you really need. Quote

TheBansheeMan86 Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 lol thats funny. well just to let you guys know, i have removed my boost bottle and noticed a LOSS in throttle response/low end. so i put it back on, and gained it back. i have tried this several times, and same results. so if it works better [on my banshee] with it on, its just gonna stay. i can see how it might not do anything on other banshees, though. mine is just set up for so much top end that anything will help the bottom end lol. my 2 cents Quote
Otis Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 So is anyone using it?...just for "bling"? Quote

I have heard from guys who have extensive porting that it makes a very slight improvement. To me it's not worth it since the cables rub a hole in it anyway and you wind up blowing the engine because of the look. I say plug up the holes and go riding. Quote
wildmxer Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 i only have one for show ,it adds alittle crome. just my 2 cents Quote
03'ScreaminShee Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 LOL, well I just ordered a UM Performance boost bottle for my new shee. I am at least going to try it since some people says it makes a slight difference. I got it for $25 so, o well. I will post back if I notice anything on the bottom end or throttle response. Quote
DirtGrrl Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 i planted a philodendron in my boost bottle. i know how a nice and shiney "white brothers garden planter" goes nice next to the lawn gnome.. Quote
