A speck of dust has caused my carb to stick open before. Think of a grain of sand thats been broken up 3 or 4 times.

Clean them out.

Thats why i always turn my fuel off when im done with it. Its not pretty when you get gas all over your concrete floor in your garage.

You may be fine for a while without a fuel filter, but lets say you switch to reserve, now all that garbage that pooled in the bottom of your tank after all those years is now traveling down into your carbs and motor. Every time I had carb issues was when I used reserve. So I got a fuel filter and I have yet to suck any dirt. It's a good investment and can save wquite a few headaches.

rite after i got my shee i looked in the tank 1 day to check the gas and there was sum kinda shit in it so i took off the tank cleaned it out real good and put a lil stariner (a piece of the old ladys pantyhose works good) on all my gas cans so that way the shit stays outta my tank outta my carbs and outta my motor
