reas11 Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 get cheetas.. now while u still got the dough . Quote
Blue Duece Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 id ask walt(banshee370) but that aint no cheap ass paint job, thats top notch work....if you can stomach your stock paint get a stroker and some good ass suspension.....you'll go fast and hang on Quote
Wassup350 Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 Yea I'd say start with a few engine mods and do a buncha suspension mods. Suspension mods are more expensive but in my opinion are more important. If your gonna be drag racing get a longer swingarm, if your gonna be trail riding or MXin get a shorter swingarm. Get some good front suspension too. Don't base decisions solely on our input either. Do some research and see the specs of products you are interested in and compare to get the best for the best deal. Quote
locogato11283 Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 i would definitely go with suspension and engine mods. painted plastic looks cool and all but wont help you stomp ur buddies in a race. Quote
sredish Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 get cheetas.. now while u still got the dough . Oh yeah, 'cause you'll never have it all together again. Quote
Big Blue Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 I can think of a good place to spend about 500 bucks, ON ME i need some pipes I would by a cheeta setup and do the suspension. Quote
Meat_Head Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 WANT MY PAINTJOB LIKE BANSHEE370'S MAN THAT IS SWEET It sure is but as you can see his Banshee was already done from bottom to top and the paint job was pretty much the last thing he did.Go for engine and handling mods and then you can worry about looks. . Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 What do you have done to your shee already? What kind of riding do you do? What kind of riding do you intend on wanting to do with it? What types of surfaces are you going to be riding on? These questions can ultimately depend what you want to spend your money on. Rims, tires, a-arms, shocks, swingarm, axle, engine mods, steering stem, bars, levers, block offs, filters.......the list goes on and on Quote
Wallrat Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 Paint the plastics before you do any other mods. After all, what good is a cherry paintjob if your going too fast for anybody to see it. Yup, stay stock and slow and look good doing it. Quote
Banshee17Racing Posted February 6, 2004 Report Posted February 6, 2004 MAN! $5500?!? I really wish I had that for my shee. I'm going to have to disagree with you, Wallrat. I would spend most of it on Engine and Suspension. I can't imagine paying $3000 for a badass paintjob and roll it 1 week later. It would take a really big biff to mess up your suspension and engine mods. I'd start with the front end and go from there, all depending on the riding you do. Just my $.02 Josh Quote
race450 Posted February 7, 2004 Author Report Posted February 7, 2004 Well i sorry about not telling my riding i forgot. Well i ride dunes mostly. I have k&n, dg bumper, grab bar, and lazerstar lights. Well i have a painter that owes my pops a favor will do it for free. I plan on buying yfz450 shocks and then a-arms for that but how much is a cheetah? Thanks for the plans. Quote
race450 Posted February 7, 2004 Author Report Posted February 7, 2004 How much horsies does a cheetah add? Quote
