Which shock are on top!  I’m upgrading my setup and I’m investing in suspension. I want the top on the line. I’m going long travel for XC. Let me know what you guys think. Figured it’ll be a great topic to discuss.

Contact axis or PEP. Have your measurements, and specs ready, and have a set built. If I had the pockets for AXIS thats what I would have or PEP

I have two long travel fireball EGC with (used to me) elkas.
One bike has remote resi, the other has the attached resi.

They both are very plush(I need to get them tuned better) current springs are for heavier rider, the shocks get “spongy” then “springy” through EXTREMELY deep whoops. Other than that I like em for what I paid.

My rears are both rebuilt shocks, from TCS last year. Updated seal heads and proper weight spring. They are perfect! one -2 avenger swing arm, one -1.5 fireball swing arm, No sponge, not really fatigued when “hot”. I’m sure I could dial them in a little better with more seat time. Again if I could go axis or pep I would. And I guess maybe the elka rear long travel link(if it works well with shorter swing arms, I have no clues) I don’t do any Huge ramps. I ride wide open desert XC mostly. Johnson valley California, District 37 AMA areas, red mountain area. And of course Glamis for Dunes.

Yeah man. I called axis 2500$ for triple rate. Been thinking elka stage 5 2300$. Right now it’s between those two.  I’ve had Fox in the past. decided to keep my rear shock from fox. I don’t like the new color-ways they have now. And also sending them out for service, I’ve heard can be a headache. I’ve never even heard of PEP for banshee not too many people have that.I’ve seen them on other quads though. I might have to check them out.

Both Fireball and Roll are BansheeHQ sponsors. I highly recommend calling one of them and have them help you get exactly what you need.

Just ordered the fireball long travel it was between lone star long travel and fireball. Did I make a right decision?

With the CDN dollar so weak you’d be crazy not to contact Stadium or Elka.

if there’s not a Trump tariff on them coming back into the country you’d have the best shocks available for less

Fireball works with elka to provide the correct shocks. Call and talk to them.

Same with roll design.

Get a steering dampener if you’re serious about XC.

FoxFloat, because they are lighter and the Shee is nose heavy.

Fox float was my first choice because of price and quality, but it’s hard to find the correct size for fireball if I were to go with that, I would have to get 19.5 YFZ Fox floats evols. Fireball recommends 19.25. But I agree. Chose elka stage 5 though

Went with elka 5. Really wish they had different colors but quality over looks ;)
