Porting tools

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, question for all people who do porting.
What tools do you use when doing it.
Dremell, foredom, what hand peace etc?
Does anyone have stock ports map?
I'm in a quarantine and have two weeks to go so would like to use that time to have look at stock port shapes and plan my porting.
Many of you will think what a lazy bastard, "Go, copy them yourself" but I'm locked up in a hotel room 30 miles away from home and can't really ask my wife to tear the bike apart for my boredom sake.
Thank you in advance, cheers

i use a foredom, had it for 25 years so my part numbers won't help you.... and a mix of burrs, cartridge rolls and extensions to make them reach where I need em to. I port cylinder heads as well... Its cathartic until all the aluminum and fine cast iron starts to make me itchy....

Yeah, foredome is cheaper than the cc unit.

Still have to buy a 90 deg grinder tho.

I have an actual Foredom made 90* attachment, Like i said I have had mine for over 25 years, and they were given to me by an old timer that retired..... His kids could give two shits about machining tools....
