DC stators (suggestions)

Recommended Posts

Okay, need a Hi output stator kit w battery.  I have a whole lotta L.E.Ds 2- 9" 24 bulb round spots mounted in a Baja mount, going to add a 12" combo flood and rear multi purpose Brake/Amber/Flash combo,  and a part time lighted whip for occasional dune trips.

So I've read up on different versions but  here's what I see. Anyone have any opinions or knowledge that's helpful. If so please chime in. Going to Glamus for the 3 Wheeler Imperial Invasion event in March, would like a dialed in setup by then.

 Thanks in advance

1.) Ricky Stator 200 watt kit partial (build your own).

So ..So.. many people say Ricky Stators are just a awful product ?  Read at least 3 dozen poor statements on  different bike forums..or is it just forum mentality?

2.) RM Stator 200 watt complete kit (OUT OF STOCK) Every time I've checked.

JD Customs , offer a complete  kit but only in stock output wattage.

4.) RaceTech , seemingly not avail and if so not in high output form.

Yea I'm aware of the reduced draw/amp , I was advised by a vendor to calculate the wattage of my L.E.Ds so at 48 bulbs x 2 watts each for the main lights I'm at:

96 Watts.

The Flood light is:

24 Watts.

I'm estimating approx:

10 watts

for the aux/tail light

So apporox 130 watts for lighting.

Being that the stock stator is maxed out at 85-100 watts. I'm figuring to be safe a high output will be required.

I've read a plethora of claims of failing stators, melted wiring etc.. So I'm trying to get some 1st hand input..on what others have used. I know I'm likley  using more LEDs than most...just wanna be safe on the system 🤙

Good luck, I've had 4 GT stators "on order" for about 6 months. He is so busy I'm patiently waiting for them. To the OP, the stock stator, after DC conversion, is maxed out about 60W. If you need a bigger one before Gary can make them get one from JL Engineering (RM stator I believe and comes with a warranty) and keep your stock one and the tools to change it with you on every trip.

When’s the last time you talked to him? I have two from him and each time it was a couple/few week lead time.

The only "GT" Stators I can find is from a somewhat abstract   company in England, listed as GT Stators, is that the one?

Google searched for a Gary Tabor  but landed me zero results.

So RM, or JL are not GT. Right.

Could someone provide contact info, for Gary Tabor. I can hopefully find out prices and wait time.

If so Thanks!

Sheerider1026 is GT Stator.

He is very busy, but always has time to send some weird meme or video.

Just send a message to this guy https://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?/profile/27054-sheerider1026/ and say something like hey albino, I need a stator. Stop looking at tranny porn on make me a stator. That should get you one very quickly.
