2 jugs are better than one Posted January 17, 2019 Report Posted January 17, 2019 One of my stock exhaust chamber hangers broke “rubber split apart” so I welded some half inch key stock in its place..looks fine, question is should it be rubber though to allow slight movement between motor and frame? kawa110 Posted January 17, 2019 Report Posted January 17, 2019 If they are solid mounted the vibration can cause fracture cracks that grow over time... Quote
SKEETER Posted January 18, 2019 Report Posted January 18, 2019 I used to just drill holes and mount a rubber piece in middle. Automotive exhaust parts work well. Quote
special06shee Posted January 18, 2019 Report Posted January 18, 2019 Take the stock hangers that have spit and drill 2 1/4” holes and bolt them back together. Just snug them and bend the last thread or two over on the bolts so the nut doesnt back off. Quote
