Getting everything cleaned and ready for reassembly on my buddy Mike's stock stroke engine.

Shift star mod, shift pro roller bearing, pancake bearing, billet water impeller, new idler gear, adjustable timing plate, cleanup port on the cylinders, port matched cases, and all new seals and gaskets.  K&N pod filters, TORS delete, FMF pipes.

maybe your friend isnt interested but ive found oem cr500 bearing and washers to be much better than the cheezy bearing those pancake setups are supplied with

I've found some very cool replacements from RX350 transmissions as well.

Replacements for the pancake bearing?  Shoot me some part numbers so I can check this stuff out!

I'll call my buddy up at the core warehouse I was working in.

Not sure who made that pancake bearing but I have been using the mattoon ones for years with no issues. Never seen one fail(when installed and adjusted properly). Just wondering what the point of sourcing a different one? Have you guys had failures? If so, explain..

the problem is the bearing and washer. not the main pancake piece that the rod pushes. im sure several companies are making the pancake setup but the one i bought looked like the bearing was made by little chinese kid with hammer and chisel.

Nice, thanks man!  Looks very similar.  I'd be interested to see some hardness tests on the rollers and cages for comparison.  I will have to pick up a couple and do a visual inspection...
