They have all the correct markings, the casting ridges in the intake and transfers, ect.. all point to an oem.. Quote
Canadianshee Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 Are you sure those are NOT oem? I would almost bet those are oem from the picsI'm 97.78% sure they are knock offs, but I could be wrong. I purchased a set of oem cylinders for rebuild and porting last year. The oem cylinders from yamaha do not have the circle above the 2JU mark, like the set in the pic, that why I thought they may be knock offs. Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk Quote
JUSTWANNARACE Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 I have a bunch of oem could that have that circle with the #s I think it was from what foundry they came from. And as many sets I have seen and ground that off to polish Quote
Canadianshee Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 Ahh good point. At some point I was planning on sending this set out to get ported as a spare. If they are oem even better. Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk Quote
JUSTWANNARACE Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 Many times sitting at the porting table while grinding oem cyls asking myself wtf that little circle ment, that's all I could come up with is foundry identification..lol Quote

Schweet97Z Posted March 23, 2018 Report Posted March 23, 2018 So we are back to 2GU being the best marking to tell it’s a stock cylinder? I’ve never seen a Chinese cylinder with those markings. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
