vussute Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 hey guys, Just put my carbs back together, started my bike and it starts beautiful. i have the idle screws set to about 3 full turns from closed and when i it idles it idles high and vibrates alot, then i click it into first and the idle drops to normal.....then i got powerband in 1st but not in the rest of the gears.someone PLEASE help and my carbs are very clean, its got brand spankink new plugs and fuel. dirtbike killer Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Three turns out, sounds like a lot. You shouldn't go more than 2!/2. May idle high. due to running lean. Try two turns out. You also might want to pull them apart again, and make sure everything is the way it should be. Everyone makes mistakes, I now I have. Quote

boonman Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 being that you have no powerband in the upper gears, I am thinking that your red, blue and yellow powerbands are shot. It is a known problem on the shee, and they can be replaced fairly simply. I don't know the part numbers off hand, but they can be had at the stealership. Or, Vito's has them too. Quote
