I want to change the oil in my 99 banshee I just bought. What is the recommended oil for it? I read that it takes a little under 2qts. I watched some youtube videos and saw all kinds of diffrent recommendations. I trust what the HQ says a lot more than youtube lol

Also doing a compression check when gauge gets here. Is there any thing else I should do since I just bought it as far as maintenance?

Takes 1.5L of oil.

There are many options, 10w30 (without friction modifiers) ATF Type F, Belray Gearsaver, 15W40 T5, etc.

Some say ATF will cause pitting of the gears.

Just keep the oil clean and really, all should be fine. I like Belray personally.

Thank you! On the Bel ray, what weight do you use? I found this http://www.belray.com/bel-ray-gear-saver-transmission-oil

it has 75w and 80w

I used both, which ever the local dealer has. Normally try the 80W

Great. Im going to order some. Is this the correct stuff?

Also what about coolant? How much does it take and does it use regular antifreeze?

Everybody has their own opinion. But IMO, what matters most is that it is a quality product suitable for wet clutch use.

If you would prefer to just run cheap ATF or 10w30, remember to change it more frequently.
