521cc fuel injected turbocharged banshee build

Recommended Posts

Richard, don't build a turbo for the trails it will be a mistake on many levels, monetary wise and performance wise mainly. A peaky turbo will not make the kind of power where and when you need it. You need a a good 10 mil with the correct porting and carbs and pipes for the trails. A turbo will only benefit you if you were at the drag strip or shooting up dunes. What can you possibly do with 150-175 horsepower in the woods? And ask yourself how you are going to put that power successfully to the ground. Your going to need a long swing arm and I ride in the Catskills I know the terrain, your rideability will go to shit! A manageable 100 horsepower banshee with the right suspension and porting will out ride 175 horsepower banshee. By the time the turbo motor is going to spool up a naturally aspirated motor will be bike lengths ahead. Save your self a ton of money and headaches and build a 10 mil or a 521, but keep is naturally aspirated!!

Hmm.

I put straight cut gears in my banshee.

Did I make a mistake?

I don't know.

I don't touch my motor.

I just put gas and ride it. Maybe.

It hasn't been touched in a while.

I'd be surprised if it starts with what's in the tank.

450 for life!!
